When I was about 7 years old, I found an antique guitar
on the top shelf of my grandmother’s closet.
She got it down and let me play with it which I did for hours and hours.
The very first song I wrote, “ANNABELLE,” was about that old guitar.
As a child, I struggled with emotional and weight issues.
When I wrote songs, I found a way to feel good about myself.
Composing music has been the guiding force in my life ever since.
I now live in SAN FRANCISCO, California and direct a large choral music program for children
at ALAMO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. I hope to share the gift that saved me with all the children in my life.
Over the years, I have recorded my music and have produced many albums for both adults and children.
In the 90’s, I was fortunate to be a part owner of XS SOUND recording studio in Berkeley with my partner Steven Sena.
I was able to do a great deal of work recording, producing, and arranging.
I am getting ready to release my 5th album, “STORIES,” and I am absolutely thrilled to be back to my work in the studio.
This time, I am working at NORTHERN LIGHTS recording studio in Santa Rosa with a fabulous producer, Barry Schiffman.
One of my dreams has been to be able to make animated musical films. I am enrolled in the ANIMATION program
at CITY COLEGE of SAN FRANCISCO and will be completing a certificate in 2015.
It has been wonderful to develop my visual art and drawing skills, a second passion that I am finding to be a great balance to the high energy work of teaching children. My current goal is to create and develop inspiring musical films and educational materials.
